SoulMates is Complete!

It's done! I just posted the Epilogue for this story. I can't believe this story took sooooo long. It was originally intended to be just a quick short story. Something to get me back in the habit of writing after a long dry spell. But, as usual, my characters took over and just kept doing things and saying things and I completely lost control. They have opinions about these things and I, as a mere author, sometimes need to just step back and let the story do its thing. But I'm very happy with the end result so that's all that matters' right?

So, what's next?

I'm going to try and dive back into the Drag Queen Detective novel I was working on before. That's dangerous, though, because it was the killing off of a favorite character in that world that caused my writer's block. But I think I've had enough time to grieve. Now I'm hoping to get back into it and finally finish this story.

Also, I'm working with a narrator to finally get books 2 & 3 of the Stylite Chronicles on audiobook. More on that soon, as long as the deal with the narrator works out. Cross your fingers.

And, even though I know that NaNoWriMo has gone under (AI is crap and how dare the organization endorse it - they deserved to go under) I still love the concept of a challenge month. I wrote so many good stories with the motivation of NaNo behind me. I'm hoping to do another project like that this year. If you know of anyone who wants to co-write a story with me, send them my way! I love writing with other people. The accountability and comradeship really do it for me. I miss writing with friends. But, either way, I'm going to try to use November as a writing motivated month and really crank out some words. Let's just hope real life is on board with this idea.
